Committed to Making a Difference

Thrive Therapy comes from a place of purposeful inclusion and affirms all people regardless of race, gender identity, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, or other human category.

Megan continues to want to support the organization in which she was able to serve in the Philippines. Thrive Therapy is committed to making a difference in the lives of survivors of human trafficking. One way to accomplish this is by giving back a portion of fees paid per session to International Justice Mission. Additionally, Thrive Therapy makes regular contributions to the Chamberlain-Garland Counseling Fund. It is a priority of Thrive Therapy Florida to support humanitarian efforts within the United States and also abroad.

What To Expect During Your First Visit

All sessions are currently offered through a HIPAA compliant video conferencing service.

First time telehealth experience: A unique link will be sent to you prior to each session. If you do not receive the link for whatever reason, please reach out to your therapist. Then make yourself comfortable in a space you consider to be confidential. For some clients this means going out to their car, and/or using headphones to ensure others cannot hear what the therapist might be saying. If it’s possible, it is recommended for couples to still meet from the same location to support appropriate interventions that support the couple’s goals for treatment.

If you haven’t completed the required initial documents prior to your first session, you will need to do that before your session can begin (these can take up to 15 minutes to complete).

During your initial appointment, your therapist will ask questions designed to gain a better understanding of your primary concerns. Your answers will also help us determine the best course of treatment to take.

Special Considerations for Counseling

For couples, the assessment process can take up to 4 sessions. Our goal is to offer a course of treatment that can be completed as efficiently as possible, but this portion of the therapeutic process cannot be rushed.

Depending on the concerns you faces as a couple, our therapist may recommend a commitment of 2-3 sessions. Others may require 6 sessions or more.

Long term counseling is available for those who find benefit from our therapeutic services in Tampa.

We will always take into account your own interpretation of your needs. Our clients are included in the decision making process when it comes to determining a course of treatment.

Initial appointments are scheduled for 75-90 minutes. Following the intake, please plan to commit 1 hour of your time for a scheduled session at a frequency determined along with your therapist.

Pricing for Our Services

Fees range from $150-$225 depending on the service received.

Thrive Therapy does not operate in network with any insurance providers, but we can provide a receipt you can then file with your carrier.

We accept cash, check, HSA and debit/credit cards. Please provide 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment otherwise you may be charged the session fee.
